About Cantaris Locke Solicitors
The partners met as trainee solicitors at a North London firm of solicitors in 2003. Natalia Zimareva-Locke qualified as a solicitor in 2005, whilst Costa Cantaris qualified a year later, in 2006. Natalia and Costa are both accredited Duty Solicitors and dedicated providers of Legal Aid services.
Costa and Natalia are regularly instructed in high profile cases that receive significant media attention. Their success rate, coupled with his great client care skills, have ensured a strong own client following.
Natalia is a fluent Russian speaker; she has written a number of articles on police powers and procedures for a London-based Russian newspaper and has appeared on the Russian state television. Natalia is regularly instructed in complex criminal and extradition cases. Natalia obtained her Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from Middlesex University and subsequently completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London.
In addition to legal qualifications, Natalia is also a qualified engineer (she holds a degree in Automation of Biotechnical Systems from Moscow State Academy of Applied Biotechnology) which enables her to apply her technical and mathematical knowledge to complex fraud cases.
Costa Cantaris obtained his Law degree at Queen Mary University, one of Europe's leading universities in the field of law, before completing his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London.
Costa has vast experience in all areas of Criminal Law. He undertakes hearings at the Magistrates' Courts, including trials, on a regular basis.
Costa prides himself in achieving excellent results when the odds are heavily stacked against his clients. He is known for his tactical nous and legal knowledge. He regularly has cases dismissed prior to trial by identifying flaws in the opponent's case and drafting legal arguments that are successfully argued at Court.
We are delighted to announce that Mark Davies, a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, has joined us as a consultant. Mark has over 30 years of experience in the field of criminal litigation. Mark has been involved in a great number of high-profile cases, including the recent Hatton Garden conspiracy. Since joining us Mark has enjoyed a remarkable run of success in both his Crown Court cases, where he has worked together with barristers, and in Magistrates' Court cases, where he has conducted the advocacy himself.
